About us

Since 1980, the Association Bernard Gregory (ABG) has been working to bridge the gap between academia and the socio-economic world by promoting the value of a PhD, supporting PhD graduates in their career development, and fostering business innovation.

Our mission

ABG brings together professionals who share common interests in research, development and innovation: PhD graduates, higher education and research institutions, companies and more.

Support PhD graduates in their career development

Before, during and after their PhD, and throughout their careers, we support young scientists as they reflect on their skills and career plans. Our career platform connects them with recruiters from both the private and public sectors, in France and internationally.

Provide companies with high-quality services

We offer our corporate partners unique visibility among a highly qualified community of Master’s students, PhD candidates and PhD graduates. We help promote their employer brand, advertise their internship and job opportunities, and provide training tailored to their needs.

Be a partner to higher education and research institutions

We offer universities, higher education institutions and research organizations training programmes to support the career development of young scientists from Master’s level through to postdoctoral research.

Through our career platform, we offer them the opportunity to post M2 internship, PhD, postdoctoral and job opportunities, and to promote their events.

Be open to the world

Research is international, and PhD graduates are highly mobile. That is why all our initiatives have a strong international dimension.

A brief history…

The Association Bernard Gregory is named after the particle physicist who, through his leadership roles at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the French General Delegation for Scientific and Technical Research (DGRST), personally championed the development of scientific employment in France.

In 1977, he set up a working group dedicated to the career development of young research-trained scientists: the future Association Bernard Gregory.
