Recognized internationally for its uniqueness, the ABG CV-database is exclusively dedicated to PhD graduates or students defending their thesis within 4 months.

The information a recruiter can see at first glance doesn’t show your name. The candidate’s identity is only visible on the CV(s).
The profile displays scientific skills and professional experience. The CV is attached to the profile.

What is a PhD?

A PhD is the highest university degree. It benefits from an international recognition. A doctoral degree is obtained after at least 3 years of professional experience in research and the defence of a thesis.

Who are the candidates in the ABG CV-database?

All the candidates in the ABG CV-database have obtained or will soon obtain their PhD. Doctorate holders from all scientific disciplines are concerned, whatever their level of experience.

Profile update every 5 months

The CV-database of ABG is constantly updated. The candidates are asked every 5 months to update their profile and their CV. If the upgrade is not carried out, their profile will be systematically put offline and their CV will be deleted.

Why do some CVs have  ?

Some candidates have received professional guidance by a career advisor at their university or institute.  Once the individual guidance is over, the profile is approved by the advisor and it gets this logo.

How to use the CV-database?

Registration is free.
You only have to complete the form for the service “My candidates (recruiter)” and open your account to download the CVs from the ABG website.
Don’t forget your user ID and password, they will always be required to get to your personal account and to use this service.

Start your search by using key skills for your open position.
A list of anonymous profiles will be displayed, indicating the position targeted by the candidates, the experience level, the scientific skills… You can use various search criteria: language skills, availability of the candidates, application fields of their research….

When you are interested by a profile, click on “see details” to read the summary of the skills and the professional experience the candidate chose to highlight. One or two CV can be attached to each profile.

After reading the profile, and if it is relevant for the position, you may download the CV or select the profile for a later use.

You may contact directly the candidate with the contact details you find in the CV.

Who can upload their CV?

You are a brand new doctorate holder or a PhD with years of experience or you will soon obtain your PhD. Whatever your scientific discipline, you may register.

How to upload a CV?

Registration is free.
You only have to complete the form for the service “Upload your CV” and open your account to upload a profile on the ABG website.
Don’t forget your user ID and password, they will always be required to access your personal account and to change your profile.

Two types of information are shown in your profile, in French or in English:

The information a recruiter can see at first glance doesn’t show your name  . Your personal data are only visible on your CV(s) (enclosures).

This service provides also functionalities to help you write your profile and manage its visibility.

In order to optimize your professional development, you may also ask for the help of a career advisor in your institution of higher education and research.

You may receive a professional guidance at your university or institute. A professional advisor selected by your institution may help you to implement a job search strategy for the economic sector. Once the individual guidance is over and your profile is approved by the advisor, you get the sign on your profile.

Who can have access to the CV-database?

All Internet users can consult the profiles in the CV-database of ABG. However, only users with an ABG account may download CVs.
