We are pleased to welcome Julie FLOCH, as Training and Support officer. Read about her journey, her commitments and her goals in this biographical article.

Julie holds a Master's degree in Bio-informatics (research specialty) from the Université d’Evry-Val-d’Essonne.

She has over 8 years' experience as a consultant, specialising in innovation funding and European project funding. 8 years during which she got better aquainted with the ecosystems of research, both academic and private, and got to collaborate with researchers, through numerous experiences within several consultancies and the Institut catholique d'arts et métiers (ICAM), where her role was to support these researchers in their search for funding.

It was only after this first part of her career that she discovered training and coaching. Enthused by her work with young adults during an International Solidarity Volunteer experience in the Philippines, she decided to initiate a professional reconversion. However, it wasn't until she had obtained the Certificate of Competence in Designing and Leading Educational Sequences from the CNAM in 2017, followed by a Master's degree in Coaching and Personal Development in Business from the Université Paris 2 – Panthéon Assas in 2018, that she launched her self-employed career in coaching specialized in career plan work. This new career step has led her to provide support for a wide variety of profiles: from students considering their career direction, to senior executives taking up new managing roles, to women experiencing difficulties finding employment. What was in it for her? A fantastic opportunity to put into practice and develop her skills in educational engineering, and a more detailed understanding of career development issues. In the meantime, she trained in the co-development approach, so that she could support groups of managers and other project leaders as they developed their skills.

After 4 years consolidating her expertise as an independent trainer /coach /facilitator, Julie joined ABG as Training and Coaching Manager. Her aim now is to leverage her experience, her reflections, her extensive reading, particularly on self-knowledge, and her good humour in order to support students, PhD candidates and PhDs from all backgrounds in reaching their career goals.
