You have an idea, a project and need some support from the European Union? Two practical guides are now at your disposal.
Thierry Cornillet, Greater South-East MEP (member of the European Parliament) and group president at the Regional Council of Rhone-Alpes (France), publishes the
2008 version of his "
Guide to European Union funding" published in 2006 and 2007.
Each fund and program are presented in the form of synthetic sheets. Thus, you will find in the field of research, all information relating to financing linked to the
7th Framework Programme for Research and Development (FP7): budget, objectives, actions, contacts and reference sites. Among the devices, we draw your attention to the "People" or "Personnes" Program and invite you to read also our
article published in November 2007.
Also interesting, the chapter dedicated to the construction of an European project.
Furthermore, the draft of "
Practical Guide to European funding for research, development and innovation", developed by the European Commission on the FP7 is intended to help researchers at every stage of development and implementation of their research or innovation project.
It contains practical information on how to combine the different funding sources, but also a "
checklist" and a
scorecard of steps to follow.
Potentiel users of this guide had until the end of April 2008 to provide comments and suggestions as to how the text could be made even more practical and user-friendly, after which, it will be finalised, translated and available online with a regularly update.
