The purpose of this web site? Being the world leader in scientific job in industry, academia and government. Quite simply.
Science Careers is the job and career section of
Science magazine website. Founded by Thomas Edison in 1880, Science is one of the most prestigious and widely cited scientific journals in the world. The web site as well as the magazine are published by
American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
The “Career Development” section, new avatar of Science's Next Wave, the oldest science career magazine on the web, is the real "editorial voice" of
Science Careers and probably the existing richest information source about scientific careers.

All services of an usual job web site are of course also available. Candidates can search for job vacancies (an average of 2,900 offers in all countries and disciplines), upload their CV, make personalized alerts, subscribe to RSS feeds… Recruiters, can upload their vacancies, look for a CV etc...
The “Funding” section proposes GrantsNet, a funding search engine. The database is continuously updated and combines student scholarships and research funding in all disciplines and for all levels (from "Undergraduate" to "Senior Scientist").
It is also possible to search (and announce) events of all kinds (award ceremonies, conferences, job forums...).
