"Universités et Centres de Recherche : Acteurs du développement du Midwest" report (only available in French) aims to provide in a competition context for innovation, an overview of major scientific research institutions in the Midwest, as well as R&D activities in this region of the United States.
The first part of this report focuses on the specificities of Midwestern universities, R&D centres and main actors.
The second one summarizes the main data about universities and major R&D programs in eight states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin. The presentation of this information, includes two kind of fact sheets on:
- R&D structures in the states covered by the study at the academic, federal and industrial level and their funding;
- main research universities (public or private) of the Midwest (key figures, rankings, strategies for research and international relations).
Institutions wishing to initiate partnerships with key actors of the Midwest will find in this report useful information.
