Mobility support from the French Institute for Anatolian Studies (IFEA) for PhD students

The IFEA is an Institute located in Istanbul under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Development and the CNRS and aims to stimulate and conduct research focusing on territories of Turkey and the Ottoman Empire, in Humanities and Social Sciences, in Sciences of Antiquity.


The IFEA's Scientific Council will consider applications to the mobility support with effect depending on the availability of the candidate and the host potential of the Institute, from 1 September 2017.

This support will be granted for a period of 3 to 8 months, possibly renewable once, and will consist of a monthly allowance of 1000 euros, the reimbursement of a trip Paris - Istanbul - Paris (economy class ) and a medical coverage.

Applicants must be Turkish nationals or of a Member State of the European Union, hold a Research Master degree, and enrolled in a PhD programme in a French university.
Knowledge of the Turkish language and the country's academic context will be appreciated.
