Many agreements between the UNIL and partner institutions - about 40 for France - enable doctoral students and researchers to take part in mobility and exchange programmes.
Founded in 1537, the
University of Lausanne hosts approximately 11,500 students and 2,200 researchers. 31% of academic staff and 21% of students are foreigners.
The Unil is composed of 7 faculties – Theology & Religious Studies ; Law and Criminal Justice ; Arts ; Social & Political Sciences ; Business and Economics ; Geosciences & Environment ; Biology & Medecine - offering various programmes ranging from undergraduate (bachelor) to PhD.
If you are interested in an exchange or mobility in Lausanne, two offices are at your disposal:
- The International relations office which draws up and implements exchange and co-operation agreements for students, professors and lecturers.
- The Office for socio-cultural affairs which looks after the smooth administration of exchange programmes (practical details, advice, information, programmes, forms to be filled in…).
You can also check out the section "
PhD students and researchers" in which you will find all information about exchange programs, co-supervision of theses and financial sources. Furthermore, the “
researcher’s mobility portal” will help you to prepare your arrival and stay.
