{"id":929,"date":"2025-06-05T15:31:58","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T15:31:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abg.asso.fr\/2025\/06\/05\/sakura-franco-japanese-program-to-support-researchers-mobility\/"},"modified":"2026-10-08T10:12:00","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T10:12:00","slug":"sakura-franco-japanese-program-to-support-researchers-mobility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abg.asso.fr\/en\/2025\/06\/05\/sakura-franco-japanese-program-to-support-researchers-mobility\/","title":{"rendered":"Sakura: Franco-Japanese program to support researchers&#8217; mobility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"abg-legacy-link abg-legacy-link--anchor\" href=\"#t\">Terms and conditions<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"abg-legacy-link abg-legacy-link--anchor\" href=\"#m\">Mission and funding<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"abg-legacy-link abg-legacy-link--anchor\" href=\"#c\">Contacts<\/a><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><b>Sakura<\/b> is the Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC)\u00a0set up in France by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the Ministry of Higher Education and\u00a0Research (MESR), and in Japan by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsps.go.jp\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsps.go.jp\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t\">Terms and conditions<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The call for applications is open to full researchers from research laboratories attached to higher education organizations and research institutions;<\/li>\n<li><strong>The participation of young researchers and PhD candidates is strongly encouraged.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Companies can participate<\/strong> in the project, as long as they are associated with an academic partner;<\/li>\n<li>The programme supports research <strong>projects proposed jointly <\/strong>by a French and Japanese team with emphasis on programmes establishing new cooperation;<\/li>\n<li>The project <strong>title should be submitted in English and in exactly identical terms<\/strong> (max.120 characters) to <span class=\"abg-legacy-accent\"><strong>both agencies <\/strong><\/span>(Campus France for the French part, JSPS for the Japanese part).<\/li>\n<li><strong>All scientific fields\u00a0are concerned.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"m\">Mission and funding<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Funding is granted on an annual basis,\u00a0for two consecutive years;<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Funding support\u00a0from\u00a0France (max 6000 \u20ac\/year\/project) covers\u00a0stay\u00a0(\u20ac150\/day) and\u00a0travels\u00a0(reimbursement on actual expenses\u00a0per France-Japan round-trip) allowances\u00a0of involved French researchers.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Funding support\u00a0from\u00a0Japan (maximum 1,000,000 yen\/project) covers\u00a0stay\u00a0and\u00a0travels allowances\u00a0of involved Japanese researcheres,\u00a0as well as other expenses related to the Sakura project.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"abg-legacy-callout\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"abg-legacy-accent\"><strong>The final deadline for application is September 3, 2025.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<h2 id=\"c\">Contacts<\/h2>\n<p><a class=\"abg-legacy-link abg-legacy-link--web\" href=\"https:\/\/www.campusfrance.org\/fr\/sakura\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">See the call for applications on the Campus France website (in French)<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC) &#8211; Sakura 2026 &#8211; aims to develop scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between French and Japanese laboratories, by encouraging the participation of young researchers (PhD candidates and post-doctoral fellows).
