France-Brazil Programmes - COFECUB

Two grants to foster and support the development of joint research between French and Brazilian academics, researchers, doctoral or post-doctoral students. Application deadline: May 28, 2014.COFECUB is the French acronym for French Committee for the Evaluation of Academic and Scientific Cooperation with Brazil. It works in collaboration with two Brazilian institutions: the CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento do Pessoal de Nível Superior, the Federal Agency of Support and Evaluation of Postgraduate Education) and the USP (Universidade de São Paulo, the São Paulo University).
The Call for proposals includes two programs:
- The CAPES-COFECUB which is open to all disciplinary fields and aims at continuing high-level exchanges. Selection criteria are: scientific excellence of the project and complementarity between teams, the impact on the training of young researchers, and the effective participation of PhD students to the mobility program
- The USP-COFECUB which is open to the basic research in all disciplinary fields and aims at creating an academic exchange system allowing Brazilian and French researchers-teachers to develop joint high level researches. Selection criteria are: scientific excellence of the project and complementarity between teams, the potential impact (institutional, socio-economic or of training).
Applicants must submit their application online, on the website of Campus France before May 28, 2014.
