Franco-Taiwanese cooperation

Clarisse Faria-Fortecoëf

A set of programs listed in a guide published by the French Institute of Taipei and the Adit.

The guide of support tools for Franco-Taiwanese scientific and technological cooperation published by the French Institute of Tapei, aims to facilitate the search for funding of research teams of both countries.
Programs are classified as follows: initiation, structuring, consolidation and reward of cooperation.
Under "Initiation", you have for example, Orchid, the Franco-Taiwanese programme to support researchers’ mobility.
For information, the deadline for applications was 18 May 2009 for 2010 projects.

At structuring and consolidation level, Stic-Asia is a regional research programme in the information and communication technology (ICT) area.
The 6th ICT-Asia Call for proposals is now open with a deadline for submission on 1 October 2009.

Scientific stays under for example, "Marie Curie” Actions – 7th European Framework Program for research and technological development – (see our article published in June 2009), are also offered.

Furthermore, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Franco-Taiwanese scientific Foundation’s award, a scientific symposium will be held on September 2 and 3, 2009 in Tapei. The registration deadline is postponed to July 17, 2009.
