A publication of the « Focus Pays de Campus France » collection which is aimed at all those involved in academic cooperation, providing them with synthetic information about international mobility, government priorities in terms of training and promotional activities carried out by other countries.
In the framework of “Promoting Irish-French Academic Cooperation” days which took place in Dublin – town which hosted the 2012 Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF) –, Limerick, Cork and Galway, on the 19th and 20th of June 2014 (please see our paper dated May 23, 2014), Focus Ireland summarizes some interesting data particularly, in terms of mobility in this country.
Although the size of the Irish market is limited, the country hosts more than 300 French companies and offers many opportunities for French exporters in particular in the following areas:
In terms of higher education some data in 2013:
Furthermore, Ireland is the fifth host country of French Erasmus students (1,748 in 2012) and France is the first non-English speaking host country of Irish Erasmus students (637 in 2012).
Three testimonials round out this publication, including that of François Pichot, Engineer in the innovation field who after having been formed in France in an engineering school, then in the United States in the framework of a PhD and a post-doc, the participation in the creation and development of an Irish start-up, joined the Technology Transfer office at the University College Dublin
