DestinEducation.ca Web site is a resource of the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) and is intended for students and professionals, Canadian as well as foreigners.

The section "Awards/International students" lists major awards and traineeships and it is organized as follows: Canadian federal government programs, provincial government programs and non-governmental programs.

Among opportunities, you will find :
- The Young Worker Exchange Program which offers career-related employment of three to twelve months' duration to graduates including French ones.
- The Visiting Fellowships program administered by NSERC  (Natural sciences and engineering research council of Canada) which provides young scientists with the opportunity to work in a federal research laboratory.
- The NRC’s (National research council of Canada) Research Associateships program which is intended to give young researchers an opportunity to work in its laboratories The initial appointment is normally for a two-year term and may be renewed. 

Furthermore, two agreements between the CIHR (Canadian Institutes of Health Research) and the CNRS on the one hand and the INSERM, on the other hand, aim to foster the collaboration between Canadian and French scientists.

If you work in the Social Sciences and Humanities field, be aware that the SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada) offers scholarships and research grants.
