Post-doctoral position in immunology and cancer

The Cordeliers Research Center (CRC) is an internationally-recognized, patient-centered, integrated, academic medical research center, and is one of the nation’s premier centers for excellence in biomedical research and medical education. The Inserm Laboratory of Integrative Cancer Immunology is headed by Jérôme Galon. It is part of a network of laboratory of Excellence (LabEx) in France, dedicated to Immuno-oncology and part of the Institut du Cancer Paris Carpem. The laboratory is a world-class research laboratory seeking for candidates whose skills, and personal and professional experience, have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to excellence in science.

The objectives of the laboratory are to develop innovations in oncology research, based on a better global understanding of the tumor microenvironment and of the dynamics of the host-immune response in human, using high-throughput methods, novel technologies, and integrative biology approaches. A post-doctoral position is available for working within the frame of a cancer immunology and immunotherapy projects using system biology approaches. Applicants will have a strong background in the field of immunology. The applicant should have good knowledge of biology, particularly in the field of cancer. A previous experience with large-scale approaches, flow cytometry/CyTOF, immunohistochemistry and imaging technics or statistics is a plus. The project will involve a close cooperation with other biologists and bioinformaticians.

This position is financed through post-doctoral grant obtained by the laboratory (INSERM, Paris, France). The position is a one-year Postdoctoral position that is renewable and has to be filed as soon as possible.

 - Familiar with System biology approaches.

- Strong background in the field of immunology. 

- Good knowledge of biology, particularly in the field of cancer.

- Previous experience with large-scale approaches, flow cytometry/CyTOF, immunohistochemistry and imaging techniques or statistics is a plus.
