Biotechs in Germany

The office for science and technology of the French Embassy in Germany has released a report on biotechnologies German policy.Germany is the European leader of biotechs and, as its global turnover has known a 7% increase from 2003 to 2004, the sector's development is not likely to fail, on the other bank of the Rhine river. A sector distinguished by a high ratio of SMBs (80% of companies counnt less than 30 employees).
The report presents national policy, sector's private and academic stakeholders and main sources of fundings, especially the many competitions helping innovation, research valorization and business creation.
