Going for a postdoc in North America: relive the webinar!
ABG hosted a webinar on April 17, 2020, dedicated to postdoctoral mobility in North America. Find the advice of our speakers on how to best prepare for this mobility.
Program
During this 1h30 webinar in French, the following themes were discussed:
- presentation of the research landscape in North America: the main actors and research fields
- preparing for mobility: identifying employers and funding, finding out about administrative procedures and practical aspects such as visa application or social security, discovering intercultural differences, etc
- preparing for your return from mobility: what awaits you on your return, the importance of maintaining your network in France
The time of Q/A between the speakers and the participants also made it possible to address more specific points such as the requirements in terms of level of English or publications, the validity of certain training courses such as that for animal experimentation, etc.
