PhDs.org : A job portal for doctors

Clarisse Faria-Fortecoëf

This web site provides Science, Math and Engineering Career Resources for scientistis and would-be scientists at all levels, from high school students through Nobel laureates.

PhDs.org was originally created by an assistant professor, Geoff Davis, with the help of a number of students in the Math Department at Darmouth College.

The goal of this web site is to help students to prepare for the changing demands of today’s job market and to provide a voice for early career scientists.

For example, you will find in the section “Finding a Job”, information and advice about career guides, cover letters, resumes and CVs, salary, etc.
You can also use “Jobs for PhDs” section to search for a job by your PhD field (life sciences, Humanities, etc.), sector (academia, industry, etc.), job type (postdoctoral researcher, graduate fellowship, internship, etc.) and location (USA but also, London and Tokyo).

“Career guide for scientists” provides basic reading (funding, networking, etc.) to help you to make a successful career in science.

A database allows to search and rank 23,518 programs (from Master’s degree to doctorate) at 2,356 universities based on your priorities.

Also interesting, the "Engineering Science Blog." However, the messages that are posted there, seem to come mainly from the same person, Geoff Davis.
