Campus France Ireland Days
Clarisse Faria-Fortecoëf
The French Embassy in Ireland and the Irish Universities Association – IUA in partnership with Campus France Paris, are organizing the “Promoting Irish and French academic cooperation” days which will take place on the 19th and 20th of June 2014 in Dublin, Limerick, Cork and Galway."Promoting Irish-French Academic Cooperation" will be the opportunity for meetings between French and Irish counterparts, to develop or strengthen relationships with academic partners who have expressed interest in cooperation with France. Currently, there are more than 450 French-Irish agreements, most related to the mobility of students, teachers and researchers. Furthermore, the academic cooperation policy for 2014 aims to develop incoming mobility (Ireland to France) and increase quality of institutional partnerships between French and Irish universities.
The first day, June 19, which will take place at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in Dublin will be dedicated to three lectures by French and Irish representatives:
On the website of Campus France, you will find useful information (currently, only available in French) such as the registration form - although the deadline was april 30, it is still possible to register – as well as documents such as the "Fiche Curie" on Irish higher education or Irish Government priorities in the research field.
Also forthcoming: Focus Ireland, a publication of the "Focus Campus France countries" collection which is aimed at all those involved in academic cooperation, providing them with synthetic information about international mobility, government priorities in terms of training and promotional activities carried out by other countries.
