Topic description

The proposed thesis is part of the AIDHY project (Aide à la Décision pour des projets d'HYdrogène décarboné Responsable). This project, part of the PEPR Decarbonated Hydrogen program, aims to contribute to the development of a multi-stakeholder, multi-criteria decision support approach for assessing the sustainability of the decarbonated hydrogen sector. It brings together 9 academic laboratories, 3 CEA institutes (IFPEN, BRGM, INERIS), an industrial technical center and a manufacturer (Air Liquide). The aim of this thesis is to develop combustion models adapted to thermodynamic conditions for all electrolysis solutions (models & input). This development will require validation on fundamental combustion parameters obtained for conditions that will be representative of real-life conditions. To achieve this objective, experimental studies and numerical simulations will be carried out, in particular flame acceleration phenomena, with experiments carried out in ENACCEF-II, and flame-shock interaction studies carried out in the new installation developed at ICARE during the ANR-PHYSSA project. These studies will enable us to analyze the various models and propose improvements. On the basis of these developments, an analysis of an accident selected by the project will be carried out.
