Bolashak is a new scholarship program launched by the Republic of Kazakhstan's Centre for International Programs. It aims to fund 500 international internships for Kazakhstani researchers wishing to carry out a research internship abroad. France is one of the target countries.

Terms and conditions

• The call for applications is open to Kazakhstani researchers at master's or PhD level who have been working for at least 3 years in their chosen field of research;
• 10 priority research areas defined by the Higher Scientific and Technical Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan are eligible:

- Information and communication technologies

- Engineering sciences

- Natural Sciences

- Social sciences

- Humanities

- Education/ pedagogy

- Medical sciences

- Art

- Defence and security

- Agri-food

• All French research institutions and organizations are eligible.

Mission and funding

• Duration of the internship: 3 to 12 months;

• Coverage of all expenses related to the research stay in France:

- Living allowance (approximatively 1400€/ month + 830€ - 920€ / year for study materials)

- Registration and training fees

- Insurance

- International travel

- Visa fees

- Training allowance
