Eurodoc’s propositions for European research and innovation funding.

Webmaster

Eurodoc, the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers has responded to the European commission’s green book (see our article) by formulating seven recommendations concerning EU research and innovation funding after 2013.

Eurodoc specifically requests that as regards call for projects, selection criteria should systematically favour institutions that have integrated the European charter for researchers.
Eurodoc equally requests that the funding aimed at supporting projects of organisations representing European researchers and learned institutions should be included. Their representatives should also be implicated in the piloting and evaluation of the programmes.

Finally, the organisation is appealing to have European funding programmes encourage the participation of researchers in activities that promote their results all through their career. According to European early career researchers, excellence should not only be based on scientific publications but should integrate promotional activities as well.
