H2020 SME Innovation Associate : matching SMEs up with talented researchers

The new pilot action aims at supporting European SMEs and start-ups to recruit doctorate holders whose knowledge would be crucial to open up opportunities for innovation and significant growth for the enterprise.
SMEs often struggle to recruit experts for two reasons : they don’t tend to have extensive international networks and they don’t have well-known brand names of large enterprises. To change this, the European Commission intends to match SMEs and start-ups up with researchers through this mobility project.

Eligibility:
  • Entreprises: SMEs and start-ups established in the EU Member States and countries associated to H2020
  • Associate: doctorate holder ; must come from a different country than the place of employment

Financial support:
  • The salary of the researcher for a period of one year
  • Relocation cost for the researcher (up to 5.000 €)
  • Travel and subsistence costs related to the training
