Information day on professional and international mobility of PhDs (Paris, 3rd of June)

Do you plan to go abroad during or after your PhD? With a postdoctoral fellowship or for a position in the industry? Are you looking for country-specific information on funding schemes, employers, recruitment process, professional codes? This event is made for you!

Many organisations from academic research and industrial R&D in Europe and in the USA come together on the 3rd of June at Maison de la Belgique et du Luxembourg (CIUP) to give you an overview of their mobility programmes and career opportunities.

Get to know them, discuss with them about your mobility project thanks to panel discussions, talks, exhibition booths and “networking breaks”.

Half of the programme is held in English (see programme).

The event is organised by ABG, the Franco-German University and Wallonia.

This event will allow you:

to know the research landscape (academic and industrial) in different countries (with a specific focus on Europe), enabling you to explore the job market for researchers in different countries
to identify the funding schemes for a research stay abroad
to understand the international recruitment process and to know the expectations from international recruiters in the industry
to be informed on careers in the European institutions
to understand the impact of an international experience on your career
to get information, tips and advice on how to implement efficiently your international mobility project
to network with an international audience

Master’s students, doctoral candidates, doctorate holders

Representatives of universities and research institutes (International office, career center, doctoral programmes…)
