A look back at the PhDTalent Career Fair 2016

The PhDTalent Career Fair 2016 took place last 21st of October at Centquatre, Paris. The event reunited more than 2000 young doctors and PhD students, and 80 companies willing to hire them.

Here is a quick recap in case you missed the job fair.

Many of you have paid a visit to our stand at the PhDTalent Career Fair 2016, to discover our services or simply discuss about the doctorate and job searching/employment.
At mid-morning, we were honoured to receive a visit from Thierry MANDON, French Secretary of state in charge of Higher education and research.

A lot of events (conferences, panel, challenge...) were planned as well, as you can see on the following slide show:

Of course, the highlight for ABG was the third edition of our professional pitch challenge, which attracted PhD candidates and doctors of very varied disciplines this year: chemistry, physics, engineering or informatics. Winners for the 2016 edition are, in order: 1st (1,000€)-Clément PEYRARD, PhD candidate in machine learning; 2nd (700€) & public prize: Urszula CZERWINSKA, PhD candidate in bioinformatics; 3rd (400€): Coralie Thieulin, PhD in biophysics.

You can already mark down in your calendar the date for the next PhDTalent Career Fair: it will be in october 2017, still in Centquatre!
