DeepTech Founders: the new entrepreneurship training program for researchers

Hello Tomorrow, in partnership with Bpifrance and under the joint patronage of the ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l’Innovation and the Ministère de l’Economie et des Finances, is launching a unique deep tech entrepreneurship training programme for researchers from all disciplines. DEEPTECH FOUNDERS

Deeptech Founders is entrepreneurship training for researchers and engineers by successful scientific entrepreneurs.

Inspired by international best practices, this national program was designed and created by researchers who have become entrepreneurs. Designed for doctoral and post-doctoral students and researchers from the public and private sectors who want to transform a technology into a product, this transdisciplinary program aims both to provide tools and methods to assess the commercial potential of a technology, but also to catalyse relations between researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and industrialists by putting meetings and mentoring at the heart of the process.

Participants will have four months to refine their project and decide whether to create a business. They will be accompanied by more than 40 mentors: researchers and engineers from all deeptech fields who have all taken the plunge into entrepreneurship and collectively raised more than two billion euros.

eligibility requirements

The program is aimed at researchers of any seniority (doctoral students, young doctors, senior researchers) in France and motivated by the creation of a company based on a technology that has already passed the proof of principle (but not yet the proof of concept), whether it comes from public or private research laboratories or very young startups wishing to validate their model.

Objective & Programme

This program will allow selected candidates:

acquire the tools and methods to quickly and effectively analyze the commercial potential of a technology in order to create a startup;
develop a quality network by joining the Deeptech Founders ecosystem;
decide whether or not to embark on the entrepreneurial adventure;
to prepare its start-up under the best possible conditions.
