Chairs of excellence Blaise Pascal funded by Région Ile-de-France

For which projects?

The International Chairs of Excellence Blaise Pascal scheme makes it possible to co-finance the hosting of researchers for at least 12 months, possibly spread over 24 months, in a higher education and research establishment in Île-de-France by offering them the means to carry out an ambitious research project.

The proposed research projects are carried out by researchers posted abroad, regardless of nationality, and include an educational programme and activities to disseminate the results of the work.

Who is eligible?

• Associations
• Institutions, local administrations

Eligible institutions of higher education or public or private not-for-profit research located in the Paris Region whose laboratories will host the international researchers holding the Chairs are eligible.

Funding?

The regional grant can be up to €170,000.

It covers the operating expenses related to the researcher's remuneration as well as the operating resources necessary to carry out the project:

• Recruitment of research staff (PhD candidates, postdocs, assistants, etc.),
• Mobility costs,
• Installation costs,
• Organisation of colloquium or seminars.
