Dominika FORETEK joins ABG's International Cooperation Department
Dominika has joined us as International Cooperation and Training Officer. Read everything about her expperience, her background, her commitments and her objectives in this biographical article.
Dominika FORETEK began her career with a curriculum in biotechnology, culminating in an engineering diploma and a master's degree. Early on, she chose to explore diverse environments by working for renowned companies such as Avon and Procter & Gamble, where she acquired a solid background in project management and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Fascinated by complex biological mechanisms and driven by scientific curiosity, she pursued an international doctorate in biochemistry between Poland and the United States. This experience enabled her to develop in-depth expertise in molecular biology, while at the same time confronting the challenges of a multicultural research environment.
Following her doctorate, Dominika enriched her expertise through a couple of post-doctoral stays (one of which was partly funded by an individual MSCA scholarship) at the Institut Curie and the Institut Pasteur, two emblematic institutions of French scientific research. These experiences naturally led her to the world of innovation, where she held a position as expert researcher in a start-up, confirming her taste for collaborations between academic research and the socio-economic sector.
With over seven years' experience in research in France, Dominika has developed a wide range of cross-disciplinary skills: project management, mentoring, scientific communication and multicultural teamwork.
Alongside her research activities, Dominika has been involved in initiatives aimed at supporting researchers in their career paths. She has taken part in and organised panels on career development, leading discussions on the opportunities available after a doctorate and strategies for making the most of the scientific experience in a variety of career paths. This desire to help young researchers build their professional future and cross the boundaries between sectors has been a key driver in her career and a key motivation for joining the ABG.
By joining ABG, Dominika is now putting her experience of the world of research, her cross-disciplinary skills and her international experience at the service of a mission that is particularly close to her: the training and support of doctoral candidates and PhDs in their professional development. and contribution to the transfer of he skills that stem from research in all sectors, in France and abroad, particularly within the framework provided by international actions and European projects.
