University of Lausanne - Unil
Clarisse Faria-Fortecoëf
Many agreements between the UNIL and partner institutions - about 40 for France - enable doctoral students and researchers to take part in mobility and exchange programmes.Founded in 1537, the University of Lausanne hosts approximately 11,500 students and 2,200 researchers. 31% of academic staff and 21% of students are foreigners.
The Unil is composed of 7 faculties – Theology & Religious Studies ; Law and Criminal Justice ; Arts ; Social & Political Sciences ; Business and Economics ; Geosciences & Environment ; Biology & Medecine - offering various programmes ranging from undergraduate (bachelor) to PhD.
If you are interested in an exchange or mobility in Lausanne, two offices are at your disposal:
- The International relations office which draws up and implements exchange and co-operation agreements for students, professors and lecturers.
- The Office for socio-cultural affairs which looks after the smooth administration of exchange programmes (practical details, advice, information, programmes, forms to be filled in…).
You can also check out the section "PhD students and researchers" in which you will find all information about exchange programs, co-supervision of theses and financial sources. Furthermore, the “researcher’s mobility portal” will help you to prepare your arrival and stay.
About News, Unil hosted the EUA-CDE Launch Conference from 1 to 3 of June, 2008.
