Galilée : Franco-Italian mobility program

The Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC) - GALILEE 2024 - aims to develop scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between French and South African laboratories, involving a significant participation of young researchers (PhD and post-doctoral fellows). The deadline for applications is May 19, 2023.

Galilée is the Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC) set up in France by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), and in the partner country by the Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca (MIUR).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • The call for applications is open to full researchers from research laboratories attached to higher education organizations and research institutions;
  • Companies can participate in the project, as long as they are associated with an academic partner;
  • The projects submitted must fall within one of the following themes:

-Mathematics

- Innovations in the field of cultural heritage

- Quantum technologies, data science

- Climate issues and "one health

- Social and environmental impact of technologies

- Global issues and common European values

  • Among the selection criteria: the integration of young researchers and PhD students in the project. 

Mission and funding

  • Funding is granted on an annual basis, for two consecutive years.
  • Funding support from France covers stay (€125/day) and travels (reimbursement on actual expenses up to a limit of €400 per France-Italy round-trip) allowances of involved researchers.
The final deadline for application is May 19, 2022.

Highlights of the French-Italian day for early career researchers 2021

On October 28th, 2021 took palce the first online edition of the Franco-Italian day for early career researchers (from all disciplines). This event was organized by ABG, In partnership with the University of Turin, and with the support of the Italo-French University, and offered a rare opportunity for students and researchers from both countries to meet and talk with experts in the field of Franco-Italian mobility !
