Call for projects between France and Senegal

The French Embassy in Senegal and the Ministry for Higher Education, Research and Innovation in Senegal are launching a call for projects to seed or develop scientific cooperation between the two countries. It aims at fostering the mobility of researchers. Application deadline: 15 April 2019.

Eligibility

Researchers from all scientific fields can apply. Projects will be selected on the following criteria:

Scientific excellence
Team complementarity
Impact on the training of earlystage researchers and their participation

Additional criteria will be considered, like the development of new cooperations, involvement of economic partners or skills and knowledge transfer.

The French and Senegalese partners must be active in a laboratory which is acknowledged respectively by the French HCERES and the Senegalese Ministry for Higher Education, research and Innovation.

Funding

Projects will be funded for a maximum duration of 2 years (no renewable). The maximum funding is 5.000€ per year.

Following costs can be covered by the funding:

Travel costs between the 2 countries
Costs for accommodation
Costs related to the research project

Application process

The project coordinator must submit before April 15 the following documents :

Project description (max. 10 pages, appendix excluded)
Agreement between the partner organisations justifying their collaboration and commitment
Commitment letter of economic partners
Commitment letter of cofunders
CV of involved researchers
