Procore: French-Hong Kong program to support researchers' mobility

The Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC) - Procore 2024 - aims to develop scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between French and Hong-Kongese  laboratories, involving a significant participation of young researchers (PhD and post-doctoral fellows). The program supports two types of cooperation: research projects and workshops. The deadline for applications is June 21, 2023.

Procore is the Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC) set up in France by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), and in Hong Kong by the Research Grants Council (RGC). 

Terms and conditions

  • The call for applications is open to full researchers from research laboratories attached to higher education organizations and research institutions;
  • Companies can participate in the project, as long as they are associated with an academic partner;
  • The program supports two types of cooperation: research projects and workshops. The workshops are expected to encourage the establishment of long-term collaborations and can involve several institutions in France and Hong Kong; 
  • All scientific fields are concerned;
  • Projects that have already been funded under this program are not eligible for reapplication immediately after completion.
  • Only applications co-submitted by the research partners in their respective countries are accepted.

Mission and funding

  • Funding is granted on an annual basis, for two consecutive years;
  • Project funding:

    The funding cannot exceed 4600 €/year. It only covers the mobility of researchers between the two countries. Funding support from France covers stay (€180/day) and travels (reimbursement on actual expenses up to a limit of €1100 per France-Hong Kong round-trip) allowances of involved researchers.

  • Workshops funding:

    The funding cannot exceed 14 000€. The workshop must be organized between January 1 and December 31 of the year concerned. The duration of the workshop is limited to one year. 

The final deadline for application is June 21, 2023.
