Van Gogh : the Franco-Dutch programme to support researchers' mobility

The Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC) - Van Gogh 2023 - aims to foster new co-operations between young researchers and to develop scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between research institutions from Netherlands and France. Active participation and mobility of young researchers, especially Phd students or postgraduate, is one of the very first criteria of selection.. The deadline for applications is June 17, 2022.

Van Gogh is the Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC) set up in France by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research (MESRI), and in the partner country by NUFFIC with the support of the Dutch ministry OCW (ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • The call for applications is open to full researchers from research laboratories attached to higher education organizations and research institutions;
  • Companies can participate in the project, as long as they are associated with an academic partner;
  • All scientific fields are concerned, including the Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Projects that have already been funded under this program are not eligible for reapplication immediately after completion.
  • Among the selection criteria: the integration of young researchers (PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows) in the project. 
  • Only applications co-submitted by the research partners in their respective countries are accepted.

Mission and funding

  • Funding is granted on an annual basis, for two consecutive years.
  • Funding support from France covers stay (€125/day) and travels (reimbursement on actual expenses up to a limit of €550 per France-Netherlands round-trip) allowances of involved researchers.
