Call for applications: doctoral stays in France for Russian citizens
The French Embassy in Russia has 2 specific programmes to foster collaboration between France and Russia, by granting PhD scholarships and mobility funding: Verdnaski and Ostrogradski. Application deadline for both programmes: December 13.

scholarship for joint PhD thesis between France and Russia
The French Embassy in Russia is awarding doctoral scholarships in joint PhD thesis for the year 2020. This funding covers 4 calendar years (3 academic years) and alternates between stays in France and Russia (indicative 3 months in the first year, 6 months in the second and third year, 3 months in the last year). All scientific disciplines are concerned.
Scholarship: 1.060€/month for max. 6 months per year
Eligibility criteria:
- Graduate from the Russian Higher Education
- Russian citizenship and student in Russia
- Good knowledge in French and English
- Enrolling for a joint PhD thesis between France and Russia

Programme « Ostrogradski »
PhD scholarships for short stays
The Embassy of France in Russia awards scholarships for the year 2020 to doctoral students enrolled in Russia and invited by a French research team, to carry out a field trip for a period of 2 to 4 months. All scientific disciplines are concerned.
Scholarship: 1.004€/month
Eligibility criteria:
- Russian citizenship
- Being enrolled in a PhD in Russia
- Being hosted by a French organization
